| Introduction | I am a forty-something mother to two very rambunctious, albeit sweet children- eleven year old Adeline and nine year old Edmund. I worked as a reading specialist off and on in Virginia for 7 years and before that I was a classroom teacher. . Because of the pandemic, moves, and needs of my kids, I have taken time off from full time teaching. I am currently tutoring at a Literacy Center, working parttime through a grant at a local elementary school and homeschooling my nine year old! Life is busy, but despite all of that, I have rediscovered the joy of reading. I'm excited to share family adventures, literacy insights, and great reads through various blog projects.
