| Introduction | My name is Vitalia or Vita for short. My name comes from the latin root vita meaning life. I'm an inspired artist and fun-loving accountant whose mission in life is to initiate and encourage positive social change. I am an advocate for healthy living, kindness to strangers, and seizing the moment! I love kids and am an active volunteer at the Boys and Girls club of San Francisco. I am starting this blog to document my fundraising efforts for children's cancer. More children die of cancer each year in the US than all other illnesses combined. This is why I will be donating my hair and shaving my head in support of all those impacted by this deadly disease. I want to offer hope and inspiration with this blog. I want to spread a message of life. I will post daily and strive to reach my goal of raising $10,000 for children's cancer research, specifically for St. Baldrick's Foundation - a volunteer-driven charity that funds childhood cancer research grants. |
