Introduction	I've always been curious about family history. But it wasn't until 2011 that my genealogy research finally took off. I finally stopped seeking answers from my dad & uncle. Instead, I turned to people from their hometown (during a visit where I met some of my siblings for the first time). The trip unlocked connections that answered most of my questions. Within a month, I connected with family members (including 1st & 2nd cousins). Some of them had been doing family research since the 1980's. My enthusiasm at being connected reinvigorated their research. We found more family members, started a facebook group & began monthly family conf calls. Within a year we again exhausted traditional research & were hitting brick walls (even to our great grandparents). So we decided to try ancestry DNA testing. Since then I've connected with more people than I can count (more close relatives, in-laws, & even other fascinating people also seeking answers). This is my journey of collecting kin!
