Introduction	An HR pro with a bit more than 25 years’ experience in various industries (manufacturing, defense, public TV, non-profit). For most of those years, I was the sole HR practitioner in the organization, or one of a very small group. As a result, my role has been primarily as a generalist. I’m a member of SHRM and am certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources, and a charter member of our local SHRM affiliate chapter. I also served as the Government Affairs director for our chapter and am now the Immediate Past President. I serve on the legislative affairs and HR committees for our local Chamber of Commerce. What do I do when I’m not working? Since I’m pretty much a Type A, that’s not often! Well, I do find time to read (I like mysteries) and my husband and I like to travel. We’ve been to Europe several times (I love Italy!) and around the US as well. Good food, good wine and good friends are staples in our lives.
