About me

Introduction	I am originally from Havøysund, Finnmark and have since 2005 studied architecture at AHO (The Oslo School of Architecture and Design). During the last decade I have observed the impact of the population decline has on several communities located in my home municipality. This is not a trend unique to the municipality of Måsøy, but is instead part of a more general trend that applies to many municipalities in the county. To get a deeper understanding of how the process affects the communities I have taken the initiative to use the spring semester to study the phenomenon. -------------------------------------------------------- Jeg er opprinnelig fra Havøysund, Finnmark og har siden 2005 studert arkitektur ved AHO (Arkitektur- og designhøgskolen i Oslo). I løpe av det siste tiåret har jeg observert hvilken påvirkning befolknings- nedgangen har hatt på flere steder i min hjemkommune. Dette er ikke en trend som er unik for Måsøy kommune, men er i stede en del av en mer generell trend som gjelder mange kommuner i fylket. For å få en dypere forståelse av hvordan prosessen påvirker lokalsamfunnene har jeg tatt initiativ til å bruke vårsemesteret til å studere fenomenet.
