Introduction Hello. I am Bonnie. I’m so pleased you stopped by to visit my small sphere . . . . The role of child, sibling, wife, mother, business person, Hospice worker, writer, and other roles have been instruments of learning, but most of all I'm a Mystic. "We are both the pilgrim and the Way." This blog is a story of teaching, and teaching, as you know, is a constant repetition. I learned each lesson repeatedly until mastered. My Beloved repeated the lesson in different lights and sometimes in different forms so I could understand and remember the lesson. The repetition triggered a slightly different psychological reaction that led to the next experience and so forth. He taught me to face the darkness within myself, which was excruciating as always. "At the core of creation, God has hidden an innermost secret aspect of Himself. The mystics purpose is to discover this secret and offer it back to the Beloved. This secret cannot be shared in words, but is is contained in the whole of mystery of the mystic's return journey." Llewelyn Vaughn-Lee
Interests Life has been kind to me and allowed me to enjoy all my interests: writing, communications, teaching, travel, management, photography
Favorite Movies Out of Africa, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Wonder Boys, Hope Floats, The Trip to Bountiful, The Freshman, Bridget Jones Diary, Heartburn, Meet the Fockers, Something’s Gotta Give, The Upside of Anger, The Last Samurai, King Arthur, A Good Year, The Lake House, Carolina, etc.
Favorite Music Instrumentals mostly from the soundtracks of movies I have enjoyed. I also enjoy the oldie goldies as well, since I’m in the category of Baby Boomers. However, if I hear a particular rap, I can be moved by it as well. A Texan, I truly thrive on country music, too. Nevertheless, if I were to be honest with you, I would have to say that all music has some element that stirs my soul.
Favorite Books Clarisa Pinkola Estes, Joseph Campbell, Carl Gustav Jung, Marion Woodard, Deepak Chopra, Lama Surya Dass, Jack Kornfield, Roger Woolger, Ram Das, Louise von Franz, Thomas Merton, Jean Shinoda Bolen, Ken Wilber, Caroline Myss, Sue Monk Kidd, Stephen Levine, Llewellyn Vaughn Lee, Oswald Chambers, Andrew Murray, William James, John Sanford, St. Catherine of Siena, Sogyal Rinpoche, James Hillman, St. Theresa, St. John of the Cross, Anodea Judith, Kenneth Meadows, Houston Smith, Swami Rama, etc.
