Location Body & soul in the West Country; head firmly in the sand, United Kingdom
Introduction West Country writer, sometime astrologer and self-stlyed muse to a domineering Brown Dog with clairvoyant gifts (and a strong Leo Moon – unfortunately). Alas, both guinea pigs have moved up to the hutch in the sky (which probably gets cleaned out more regularly than their earthly abode) although the invisible cat is still hanging in there, though growing increasingly senile.
Interests Procrastination, arranging the cushions on my sofa, avoiding housework, composting, trying to avoid cows, annoying my husband, eradicating fashion crime throughout North Wiltshire (and I've got a job on my hands, I can tell you), world domination, (purely in a literary sense)
Favorite Movies I'm usuallly happy if I can follow the plot. Which rules out all the Star Wars films complicated espionage stories and anything too arty farty
Favorite Music Jazz, classical, some rock (as long as it's not too loud and thrashy), blues, anything with a recognisable tune really
Favorite Books Books on my bedside table (not necessarily read):, Spirit of the Home by Jane Alexander, A Short History of Tractors in Ukranian by Marina Lewycka, Cow by Hannah Velten, Return to Akenfield by Craig Taylor, Diary of an Ordinary Woman by Margaret Forster, Not the End of the World by Kate Atkinson, The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai, Strange Days Indeed edited by Lindsay Ashford & Rebecca Tope (and featuring ChrisH), The Greek Myths trans. James Davidson, Let the Northern Lights Erase Your Name by Vendela Vida, Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

The first time you had your shoes taken off - how surprised were you to see that you still had toes?

Yes. Obviously the thief hadn't been fast enough.
