| Introduction | I am Jennifer: mom to 11 crazy kids who daily bring me to my knees with either laughter or pleas of grace to my heavenly Father. I have been married to one hunk of a man (Brent) for 15+ years! In our precious quiet moments we like to get out of the house and spend time together. With 4 sons from Korea, I have always been interested in the workings of adoption and for the past 6 years Ethiopia has been on my mind. The people, their struggles, the history of the country and their traditions intrigue me because I am a believer in the character of people and how their "true colors" are shown when faced with adversity. Joey: married to Mark and mom to Matt, Will & Annie. Jennifer sent me an e-mail that just said, "Want to go to Ethiopia with me?" At first, my answer was no...but then, as usual, God laughed at my plans. From that point on, every book I read, article in a magazine/newspaper, news reports on TV all had something to do with Ethiopia. Even my devotional book I was reading referenced Ethiopia. The point was made, and here I am. I love kids--and my heart is especially tender to those who are hurting and are in desperate need of being loved. |
