| Introduction | I am 50 years old, I have been married for the last 25 years to a wonderful man named Tom and we have two GREAT children. Like many of you I get yearly check ups and mammograms. In December of 08, the doctor found a lump. On January 5th they did an ultra sound and biopsy of the lump. January 7th we got the results that the lump was indeed a tumor and that it was Cancer. To be more specific "Infiltrating carcinoma, high grade". Two weeks later they operated and removed the tumor and 7 lymph nods. Life has a funny way of changing in a heart beat. Although it has only been a few weeks since diagnosis I have met so many incredible people. I know I have a long road ahead of me, but God's grace will see me and my family through this. Never take for granted what life has given you, we all have a journey to travel some have more speed bumps than others. Make the most of each day, laugh when you can and cry if you have to, and remember God is always with you. |
