| Interests | My first interest is in my wife Brenda (of Louisiana) to whom I have been married since 1988. We have two sons Robert (born in 1992) and Andrew (born in 1995). Other interests include family time …, traveling with my family ... and camping occasionally. We also enjoy an occasional family night out at a movie. Further, I enjoy photography & most things technology. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ His family (Brenda, Robert, & Andrew) have lived in Michigan since January of 2001. He has served as a SBC associational missionary, pastor, church starter and as a mentor, supervisor and consultant for numerous pastors and church planters. In addition, he served as the Lead Missionary / Executive Director for the Baptist State Convention of Michigan. Gilstrap has also served several churches in associate positions and as the pastor of four churches. In addition to serving in ministry since 1981, he has started several photography businesses, and has been in management and sales for several media, retail and marketing businesses. Gilstrap also served on the National Leadership Team of the Network of Baptist Associations (NoBA), a professional organization for Southern Baptist associations. |
