| Introduction | Rabbi Benjy Owen is a passionate and experienced leader and teacher who possesses a deep commitment to the MHA’s mission and values. Rabbi Owen comes to Memphis from the Northwest Yeshiva High School in Seattle, Washington, where he served as the Dean of Judaic Studies and Assistant Head of School for eleven years. His thoughtful and organized management approach and inspiring teaching style have earned him the respect of faculty, students, parents, and the larger community. In addition to his 15 years of administrative service, Rabbi Owen has remained in the classroom, and for 20 years has taught high school level courses in: Talmud, Halacha, Chumash, Navi, Math, Jewish Thought, and Jewish History. Rabbi Owen holds a BA in International Studies from the University of Washington, smicha from Yeshiva B’nei Torah, and did his Master’s training in Jewish Education at Yeshiva University’s Azrieli Graduate School. |
