Introduction	Core components of the strategy will include: - Transportation Energy Efficiency: Go farther on each gallon of fuel. - Cleaner, Domestic Transportation Fuels: Use increasing amounts of “greener” non-petroleum fuels that can be produced in the U.S., especially right in Ohio. - Alternative Transportation Modes: Provide viable alternatives to using personal cars and our communities need to be better designed to support these choices. Strategies will be evaluated based on the following criteria: - Does the strategy help create jobs and other economic benefits for Ohio? - Does the strategy help reduce consumption of petroleum-based fuels related to transportation? - Is the strategy “green friendly,” i.e. does it improve regional air quality, reduce climate change emissions, reduce other environmental impacts directly or indirectly?
