| Introduction | I'm a working mum of two. A simple creature at heart I just want to be a good wife, mother and friend, own the perfect capsule wardrobe, find a reasonably priced anti-aging cream that works, enjoy the odd responsible glass of wine or two, loose a stone, take some nice photos, find the time to occasionally read a good book and learn to love the gym. As I said, just a simple creature. |

| Favorite movies | Something in Black and white and/or with subtitles. Honest. I really do not like anything with Meg Ryan or Sandra Bullock in it. At all. (This is sadly a lie) |
| Favorite music | I liked music before I had children. I used to go to gigs before children. Now I don't. Someday I may go again. In the meantime I retain an abiding passion for Rufus Wainwright and Elbow, and all other guitar based indie bands which remind me of my carefree youth. |
| Favorite books | All time top three which hasn't changed since I was a student for reasons of nostalgia. 1. Wuthering Heights 2. Brideshead Revisited 3. The World Accordingly to Garp. Apart from these I am a voracious reader and my idea of heaven is at least one hour of reading in bed before lights out. Favourite authors include Anne Tyler, Audrey Niffenegger, Marion Keyes, John Irving, Douglas Kennedy, Kate Atkinson, Nancy Mitford, Jane Austen (of course), Evelyn Waugh and numerous others. |
