Introduction	I am a single mom of a fantastic son with Autism and other medical challenges. He challenges my world daily and contributes more than I ever thought possible. I am also the mommie to 4 cats. I am now divorced but the experiences I have had living my life in a biracial union have been interesting. Raising a biracial child also has its unique challenges. My career as a reporter for more than 10 years has given me many strong opinions on politics and community issues. Basically, I wrote anything from political scandals to the church pancake breakfast. I'm a transplanted San Franciscian (note, I did NOT say Friscan) trying to make sense of the culture and people in the Midwest.
Interests	I love science fiction, movies, books, television. I also love literature but sometimes trash TV gets my attention. I'm a reality TV junkie. Something about silly people I guess.
Favorite movies	Almost any sci-fi, some horror, comedy, drama. Smallville, Heroes, House, and Lost are my drugs of choice right now. I'd watch Supernatural too but it freaks me out, which is funny because X-Files was must-see TV.
Favorite music	Alternative, Rock, Pop, Classical
Favorite books	Harry Potter, Stephen King, Lord of the Rings...actually...I just love books!

When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?

I don't swim, therefore I don't open my eyes underwater. Besides, that burns.
