IntroductionAre you there? Do you know me? Do you understand me? Can you rescue and guide this wandering heart? Can you make me into a new creation? Will you? Somehow the answers to these questions lie in an ancient book. The New Testament is such a peculiar collection of eyewitness accounts, historical documents, personal letters, philosophical musings, and bizarre visions. The men and women who met God in the flesh put pen to paper and left us a reminder. A signpost. But it's more than that. It is living and active. It is working in truth and working out real change in our lives. As we read, meditate, discuss, wrestle, doubt, deny, succumb, and surrender, we find this word penetrating us, dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of our hearts. It is the only true mirror. As it reflects, let us reflect. This is the only path to transformation. I pray that each of these meditations will help you and I both to be renewed in knowledge after the image of our Maker. The kind of "knowing" that brings our minds and hearts together with His, leading to real change in our own lives, and the lives of others. Welcome.
InterestsI am driven by a desire to see how all things can be done to the glory of God (1 Cor. 10:31), especially the study of human events, past and present. I love my Donna and my Gracie, my local body of believers at Eastern Heights Baptist, and my co-workers at Humana. I also do some butt-kicking solos on the mandolin.
