| Introduction | I am a formerly comfortable person who fell on hard times many years ago, and has never fully recovered, though I have managed to survive a lot of challenging situations. I am a writer, an editor, a teacher, a counselor, and an artist in many media. None of these occupations provide me with a living wage, though the combination of them allows me to just squeak by. I am interested in communicating with others who have lived on the fringes of society, as I have, and in sharing ways and means of not just surviving, but thriving too. The photo is of my beloved Ladywolf, a 90% Alaskan Grey Timberwolf, who passed away on June 5, 2010. I am dealing with her loss with a fair amount of grace, but I do still have very sad days. She is sorely missed. |
