| Introduction | About Michelle: A lifelong resident of the northern suburbs, Michelle's career began as a graduate Interior Designer for John M. Smyth home furnishings. After several years in home furnishings, she realized there was a strong need for an upscale baby and juvenile furniture store specializing in custom bedding and window treatments. She gained invaluable experience in working with public, vendors, and basically everything involved in running a retail store. After being successful in business for over a decade, she went on to start her own firm specializing in residential design. She has had numerous design articles published in the Chicago Sun Times, Chicago Tribune, Daily Herald and Pioneer Press papers focusing on her unique design ability ranging from old world to modern. Michelle has been published in Midwest Living, Better Homes and Garden and Bedroom and Bath magazines. She has been a consultant for the book "The Smart Approach To Kid's Room" published in 2000 in which two children's rooms were featured. Also in 2000 her own personal home office was featured on national TV (PBS) on "Offices". |
