| Introduction | i'm not all about aesthetics. i'd rather use a mac. my over-achiever syndrome is passing day by day, perhaps? i enjoy running and reading-not at the same time. I'm the proud teacher of 45 9-12 year old's in Mexico. Most days, I have to repeat myself 67 times to get them to get out their materials. I have to animate myself beyond that which is normal to get the point across to second language learners. I have to hold teary-eyed little people. I have to translate this document or that one. I have to answer the question: "Miss K, how do you say...???" I have to police the window-jumpers who put chairs underneath open windows to break into forbidden areas during recess. I have to referee quarrels and disputes. I have to bring the cloud-floaters back down to earth every five minutes or so. And I love it. I struggle. I grow. I learn. I gain much on a daily basis. |
