| Introduction | NIST University, established in 1996 in Berhampur, Odisha, is the first NRI higher educational venture in the state. Spanning 65 acres in the green hills of Pallur, NIST boasts world-class academic infrastructure, Centers of Research Excellence (CREs), and Global Innovation Centers (GIC). It offers undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs in Engineering, Science, and Management. NIST excels in academics and research, with faculty and scholars receiving grants from DST SERB, DST WOSA, DST AMT, MHRD, UGC, AICTE, and more. It collaborates with international universities like IAMS (Taiwan), Univ. of Electro-Communication (Japan), Brunel University (London), and NJIT (USA), and maintains strong industry partnerships. Over 17,000 alumni contribute globally in technology, leadership, entrepreneurship, and public services. NIST's vision is to be a center of academic and research excellence on par with international universities, fulfilling the dreams of its founding members. |
