| Introduction | The idea of this trip is to become a “University of Delaware bike ambassador” by biking more than 4000 miles across the United States. Biking is arguably the greenest mode of transportation and one that is sorely underutilized in this country. I will visit various bicycle friendly communities and see what these successful towns are doing to promote bicycle use. My quest is both a personal and a community challenge. I will challenge myself physically and mentally. I will challenge our community to take more positive environmental action by increasing bike usage on campus.
