| Introduction | Hi, I've always been intrigued with the name Schatvet and with Norway. In fact I read Norwegian easily and speak it with difficulty :) I majored in history at Mt. Holyoke College, but I didn't get interested in family history until my husband and I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) in 1968. They encouraged me to do genealogy and I jumped in with both feet. Now I don't do as much research on our own family. I do editing and writing and transcribing of old records. Have published several books and many articles on our family and on others. But at last I want to work up a good account of our own Schatvet family. So I'm hoping all of you are interested and would like to contribute. |
