Introduction	I'm a twenty-something author working on publishing my first novel...and, in the meantime, working on other novels, a collection of nonfiction essays, and a smattering of poems that continue to surprise me. I am very involved in my church, love my jobs of teaching college English courses and helping others achieve academic goals, and generally find myself in unique and often humorous situations.
Interests	Creative writing, teaching, crochet, erasure poetry, cooking, baking, classic movies and television shows
Favorite movies	Since I own more DVDs than I should, picking the top ones is nearly impossible. :) I have very ecclectic tastes, but I don't like horror films.
Favorite music	Christian contemporary and worship are at the top, although I also enjoy jazz, classical, Latin, movie sountracks, and a little pop once in a while.
Favorite books	Anything by James Herriot, Sarah Vowell, Dee Henderson, David Sedaris, Donita K. Paul, some Ted Dekker, and a host of others.
