| Introduction | My profile photo is "The Two Fridas" painted by Frida Kahlo in 1939. It speaks volumes about Mexican identity. Like Frida, I have a mother of Mexican descent and a father of European descent. Also like Frida, I hold great love and affection for my father but my identity is intensely informed by my Mexican roots. Unlike Frida, my identity is almost equally informed by movies: Easy Rider, The Thomas Crown Affair(original), anything I saw on The Late Show, and anything by Woody Allen (AFTER the early funny ones) As a child, my very earliest influences were Zorro, Lucy Ricardo, Steve Allen and Stan Freberg.
