| Introduction | Name is Warren and I am a retired Financial Systems Software developer for main frame computer systems. As a project manager, I had to devote a good amount of time reviewing contractor proposals, requirements documents, project plans, and test results. I began toying with the internet, and that's exactly how you would have to describe it, in late 1990's. It wasn't until around 2005 that I decided to apply some of my analytical experience to internet programs, products and software tools. Where I see systems and software developers on the internet fall short is in their documentation. Most of them seem to be writing for other techies. Can't do that. You almost have to assume that the reader has zip, nada, no knowledge of the process, and write your implementation document to that level. Not easy to do, and certainly takes more time, but can pay off in the long run with more satisfied customers. My key interest on the internet is marketing. It amazes me how many products, software tools, and products are devoted to marketing, and mostly developing customer lists or bases. |
