Introduction	John Winston is an author, educator, and songwriter. He is a Detroit public school teacher and has written and/or produced over 200 songs for various artists including Gerald Levert, Jordan Hill, Kiara, and Gerald Alston of the Manhattans as well as for soundtracks including The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He has written articles for the Michigan Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (Mahperd) Magazine as well as stage plays for middle school students. IA: Birth of a Silent Soldier (BOSS) is his first novel. He lives in Detroit Michigan with his family where he is currently working on his next novel, IA: Union.
