| Introduction | I am a bruised reed, a weak and frail woman. But by God’s grace, I belong to Jesus Christ, who will not break a bruised reed, but will give rest to those who are weary and heavy laden. For the last 8 years I've been struggling with fibromyalgia symptoms (severe pain all over the body and severe debilitating exhaustion). Just recently I have discovered that I may actually have Lyme Disease (from a tick bite). I am a rather sensitive, emotional being and have especially found the last 2 years of my life tremendously difficult. I have become increasingly weakened by my ailments. At present, I am often literally crippled by the fatigue and pain. I married my wonderful husband 2.5 years ago, and I am the mother of a precious 1 year old daughter. God gives me much joy through them, but I also struggle with frustration at my inability to be the wife and mother I wish to be. I suffer much in my soul, but yearn to live faithfully for my God and look to that day when He will wipe away all my tears. My hope and purpose for this blog is to be a voice for those who suffer, to encourage those who suffer, and to exhort people to give support to those who suffer. |
