| Introduction | I'm a pretty simple girl. After spending a few months training executives and giving Key Note speeches, I realized you gotta love what you do. Naturally, I fell back into eating-- my all-time favorite hobby. In college, I started a LifeStyle section for the school newspaper and "Eating Out with Erica" was born. My first foray into food writing was exciting and ambitious (dare I say so myself) yet the whole experience was somewhat life-changing. Once you start to write about food, and look at your dinner with an analytical perspective, food becomes more than just the simple pleasure of a delicious bite. Food becomes the topic of every conversation, a metaphor for life, a tiny glimpse, if you will, into the lives of those who prepare glorious meals that gluttons like myself enjoy. I then went to work as the Production & Editorial Coordinator for EATS Media where it was my responsibility to produce quality magazines that serve as neighborhood restaurant guides as well as an honest source for valuable editorial content. Now, I am The Gluttoness, my over-eating alter ego. I'm a professional eater, and to me it's the best job in the world. |
