| Introduction | Two West Apache Indians adopted Jennifer in 1983 when her biological parents gave her up with the hope of trying again for a boy. Her childhood on the reservation was one of pow wows and one-armed bandits. She completed high school with the highest GPA of any previous Indian reservation student ever. Her entire college education was covered by the government thanks to being able to claim the rare Orphan Native American Pacific Islander status. She currently resides in Texas where she spends her days reading, writing, and taking naps with her spirit companion, a rescued shelter dog named Dwight. |
