| Introduction | Hi. My name is Heather and I'm actually a computer nerd....however..... I'm a computer nerd that LOVES food... I grew up on a big game ranch where my mom did all the cooking...and man can she cook! She was the chef for all the folks that came to hunt at the ranch and every meal was down-home, comfort food that was SOO GOOD.... unfortunately... it might not have been all that healthy.... 30 years later...I still crave my mom's cooking.... however, I don't really like what it does to my thighs....or my over-all health! Enter low-carb! I really feel that this is one the healthiest ways of eating!! Lean meats...veggies....nuts.... natural and unprocessed. Plus, with the stories and studies out there today...I'm a bit afraid of some of the processed stuff that I've been eating for so long..... I just know I'm gonna wake up with a third nose one day.... So I've decided to start scouring markets for ingredients that I never new existed and trying them out in recipes I never though I'd ever attempt! My goals: Unprocessed as much as possible Low-carb, categorized according to the Adkins Phases Must be yummy!! |
