| Introduction | We are living and working in Santa Maria Tzeja (SMT). SMT is an indigenous community of 1,200 people located in the Department of Quiché in northwestern Guatemala. SMT has rebuilt itself after Civil War with a strong foundation in education and community cooperation. Edd has been teaching English in grades 4-9 since January and I’m going to work with him in the classroom as well as on economic development programs. I am very excited about this as I want to continue my career in international nonprofit work focused on economic development and education. |
