Introduction	I am an ex-nurse, currently a university student of computer and network security and socio-technical systems. I am also a fledgling researcher and a fairly experienced teacher. Not to mention wife and mother of two. My outdoor hobbies include: bird-watching, fishing, swimming, bicyckling, sailing (mostly dingy), hiking, some gardening, geocaching (beginner). My indoor hobbies are: reading (semi-compulsively), movies (avidly), swimming, card and board games, some sudoku, messing with my husband's crosswords (sometimes), listening to music (Mozart, jazz, acoustic guitar...), cooking and eating tasty food, enjoying interesting wines and beers.
Interests	mobile and multi-channel emergency announcement (public warning) systems, how beginners develop into competent solvers of complex problems, the open+share-alike movement: especially regarding information (e.g. wikis and blogs) - standards - protocols - operating systems and user interfaces, democracy and social tolerance in practice, small and minority languages in higher education, peer review
