| Introduction | The title of this blog is my way of letting you, the reader, know I'm late to the game in my advocacy for soil health. Not because I have no experience in gardening, but because I've just recently become aware of how important the health of our soil is to our earth's climate. One movie on Netflix sparked this awareness - Kiss The Ground. Since then I've completed their eight-module course, started a backyard compost station, contacted the Director of Ag for PA, and my state Rep., found several organic farms in my area to shop for grass-fed beef and organic vegetables, read books, articles and watched videos and documentaries on the subject of Regenerative Agriculture as a farming practice that helps the farmers, the soil, the atmosphere and ultimately the health of us and the animals, insects and plants we live with. So I'm really just an early advocate who is late to this field of influence that is growing by the minute. As I grow with it and learn more, I'd like to pass it on to as many people as I can in an effort to rebuild our soil and repair our climate. |
