| Introduction | I grew up in Los Altos, CA. My dad, Ed Schweifler was a dentist in Los Altos, and his father practiced dentistry in San Francisco. Although I grew up thinking I would not ever be a dentist, or live in Los Altos, here I am doing both. My passion in dentistry is really to promote health, and help my patients attain a level of health that they desire. I believe that not all people value the same level of healthcare and it is important to educate everyone on treatment options, but ultimately respect each individual's choice of treatment. I believe that we have never "arrived" at anything in life and push myself to take Continuing Education with some of the national experts in dentistry, and always surpass industry regulations in education. I am on the Board of the Mid Peninsula Dental Society . I also participate in a local study club of local dentists--The Peninsula Dental Academy. I also am a big believer in providing education to the community at large and have been writing dental prevention articles in the the local Los ALtos Town Crier, and have been doing various prevention talks in the community to seniors, and local mothers groups. http://www.dentistlosaltos.com |
