| Introduction | I was born and raised in Carson City, NV. My parents first discovered my food allergies when I was only two years old. I have severe allergies to tree nuts and seafood and mild allergies to various other foods. I received my BS in Nutrition and Food Management with a minor in Business from Oregon State University in 2006. I then attend Le Cordon Blue Paris where I graduated with my Patisserie Diplome in 2007. After working in the restaurant industry for a few years, I ultimately decided to go back to school and focus on a different aspect of food. I am currently a graduate student at NYU pursuing my Master's of Arts in Food Studies with an emphasis in Food Culture. Food allergies are my primary area of concentration, and my thesis is writing a book which will be posted when published. |
