Introduction | Linda's original career was as a fish farmer but later she became a print-room supervisor. Dressmaking and gardening have always been her passion. Having made many bespoke dresses and soft furnishings, she wanted to get creative outside. She tried basket making and became hooked on the 'wonderful world of willow' as she calls it, trying all aspects from willow/hazel furniture to sculpturing. Finding sculpturing the most satisfying form of creativity. She has now been making willow sculpture for over fourteen years Her sculptures use local willow, and other eco-friendly materials. She weaves and binds using both traditional and contemporary techniques and is inspired by nature. Linda leads workshops and bespoke events for adults, children and schools in and around Wiltshire. NOW she is offering FORAGING - walk and talk mornings, in the beautiful countryside. To encourage a closer look at the useful plants that our ancestors used. Linda also carries out private commissions For more information or to enquire about commissions, workshops or exhibitions please write to: willowandwire@gmail.com |
