| Introduction | I am a runner, I've run 6 marathons and every race distance between that and 5K. I have done 1 sprint triathlon so far. I started this blog when I went back to college in Jan. 2009 at the age of 46.(thus the title, "runner nerd"!) I was the world's oldest college student! I graduated December 15, 2012 first in my class! I really was a nerd! After a long career in EMS, I needed a change. Since earning my degree, I work in a hospital as a Respiratory Therapist. I have 2 grown up kids. |

| Favorite music | REO Speedwagon has been my favorite since I was about 13 years old. I still like the music of my high school days in the late 70s. When I run with music it's mostly heavy metal music from those days, makes my feet move faster! |

Asics Gel Foundation 8, same shoes I always wear! You didn't expect me to change for some fancy ball. These shoes have taken me 26.2 miles in style!!
