| Introduction | Ok time to do an update......I had back surgery on my prolapsed disc back in May. I still have back pain and some sciatica in my left leg, but I no longer need a stick to walk! :-) I am off the Morphine but still on Tramadol. I was out of action for several months but managed to start up my classes in September and now it's a case of taking each day as it comes. |
| Interests | I am a 46 year old mother of five lovely children, aged 11 - 26 & a Stampin' Up Demonstrator!! I suffer from chronic depression and ME, and have found rediscovering my lost love of creativity has helped me a great deal on the motivation front!I have always been arty in one form or another. I started Scrapbooking just over a year ago and followed on with card-making after being introduced to Stampin' Up! and their fabulous co-ordinating range of products. I studied art at school, and enjoyed in particular working with textiles and "batiking" (waxing images on cotton and then dyeing the lightest colour and waxing again and so on until a full picture emerged.) I ran my own sewing business and then started designing and making hats, which I sold at Craft Fairs. The recession still biting, I made most of our Christmas presents which saved us over £400!! I did complete a whole 8" x 8" scrapbook of my eldest daughter's life for her 18th Birthday last year. |
