Introduction	Lampwork! What is it? It's a title derived from an ancient art practised centuries ago. Originally it was the art of melting glass with oil lamps. Boy! Have we come a long way. We have become much more sophisticated now with our surface mix torches, using propane (natural gas) and oxygen to get a highly efficient flame to quickly melt glass. It's so much more than just making beads, which I love to do and is the bones of my business, but also goes to the freeform. Glass sculpture is so fasinating! There's just something about taking a solid medium and making it fluid to create a permanent shape. Be sure to visit my website to see the limitless ways to use glass!
