| Introduction | I'm a free-spirited, fun-loving soul who enjoys the simple pleasures in life, a single mom who raised an only child in rural northeast Pennsylvania. My son followed his dreams to "get outta Dodge," and now resides in Denver, Colorado. Raising him while holding down three jobs and going to college has been my greatest achievement. My 80-ish parents live two miles away in their own home. I have one sister, also living nearby, who married her high school sweetheart forty years ago, giving me a "big brother," many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. My "chosen" daughter's beautiful girls fill the void in my heart for grandchildren. I recently downsized and am slowly infusing my personality into my empty nest, decorating almost entirely with thrifted finds. My career in mental health is rewarding and fulfilling. I dance to my own drummer, embracing uniqueness and authenticity. My blog will offer everything from recipes to trash to treasure projects to frank insights into whatever happens to be going on in the corners of my mind or world on any given day. Peaceandlove! |
