| Introduction | The basics? I'm an always-single 50-something who has a day job of working on manuscripts and grants for a medical research department. I was in and out of two religious orders before I found my permanent identity as a Secular Franciscan. Anyone who recognizes the name of this blog (and my shop) will know I'm a Tolkien geek. "Secondary creation" is the term Tolkien used for what we humans create (because everything we create is based on God's primary creation). I have a blog because I handmake rosaries and sell them on Etsy, and folks at Etsy are really big on using things like blogs to promote your products. So you'll find this to be a mix of stuff about making/selling/buying rosaries and general reflections on other things. I especially welcome fellow Franciscans; about half of all the rosaries I sell are Franciscan Crowns. Clicking on just about any photo of a rosary in the blog will get you to my Etsy shop.
