| Introduction | ©Jazz Born Here Projects is a series of Montreal-based art projects promoting the education of Jazz Music History in Montreal through artwork projects, creative workshops in art and music education for community youth outreach, events, exhibitions. Future activity includes the licensing and distribution of art reproductions (limited edition prints, photographs, postcards, posters, calendars, etc.) from art created in association with these projects. The goal is to create an ongoing series of artwork and art reproductions that serve to promote Montreal’s rich cultural history, highlighting the creative origins of artistic movements within the city and their influence abroad. The project also provides the opportunity to bridge the gap between Montreal’s highest cultural achievements with the legacy of creative outreach education to enrich the lives of youth. Art and art reproduction sales serve as a fundraising vehicle for ongoing projects and partners, with royalty revenue for participating artists. |
