Introduction	8/20/04: This is the first time I've tried doing this, and I got here because I was fooling around with digital photos and e-mailing them to people thru AOL. I stopped keeping the diaries I'd been writing since Dawn was born right after 9/11 (the same time I stopped taking a million pictures a year), and it occurred to me that stopping both activities might have been due to some kind of post-trauma reaction that I wasn't even aware of. In any event, after having the digital camera for over a year and barely using it, I decided to start playing around with Adobe Photoshop, and I want to get more into it -- it's something I always loved doing, I have no idea why I stopped, and I want to get back to taking pictures again.
