IntroductionKarla Yvette was originally intended to be a Holmesian villain, but due to a clerical error, was found wandering the streets of London in the winter of 1886, with no identification papers. Adopted by a renegade society of occultists, she spent the next nineteen years involved in territorial negotiations between the humans of London proper and the Deep Ones, who had inhabited the sewers of the city for several millennia. After negotiations failed to produce an agreement (and, instead, sparked all out war), she was banished to Oblivion by the Master of R'lyeh, where she was to spend the next one-hundred-and-ten years. She reemerged in the first decade of the 21st century, physically unchanged, save for a slight bulging of the eyes and a narrowing of the head. Due to her poor reputation, she was unable to find work as a negotiator, and instead turned to the world of tattooing — the only industry, in which she could combine her knowledge of non-Euclidean geometry, with her love of Greensoap and carbonic paper. Today, Karla Yvette can be found hiding timidly behind a laptop at Babylon Tattoo in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
