| Introduction | Four years ago I knew something fundamental in my life had changed and I knew I couldn't explain it to mySelf or anyone else! Now I know what changed and now I know a bit about what the future may hold. My husband has Dementia and I am learning to care for him and most importantly I am learning to care for me! Me caring for me will help us do as well as we can for as long as we can. This is a new aspect to life for me! So far I have been a published author who in her 40 year carear has nursed, practiced social work, chaired a quasi judicial tribunal, presented at conferences in Canada, the US, Ireland and Australia, coached, mediated and as an expert counselling therapist assessed parental capacity for family court. Along the way I have acquired a plethora of academic qualifications. I continue to have an insatiable passion to shape my life by imagining all that it is possible for me to be! I have and continue to attract just the right teachers at just the right time in my life. Imagine what tomorrow can bring...an opportunity to continue to shape my life which just gets better and better with each passing moment. |
