| Introduction | I have two blogs here. One is Musings from the Laundromat which is a partial collection of essays published in my Pacific Publishing column of the same name. Daniel Dammit Hopkins is a chronicle of my husband's near fatal accident in 2011. Riding his scooter through Fremont, he was hit by a woman who made an illegal left turn when the light turned green. Dan was behind an SUV and she didn't see him. He helicoptered 40 feet through the air and landed on the pavement. Scooter totaled, unconscious, witnesses thought he was dead. This blog was my attempt at keeping in touch with friends and family during a time that was far too taxing to answer phone calls and emails. |
