| Introduction | Avid reader and aspiring novelist. I live in a not so small town in Texas, hometown of many best-selling authors. I'm an adult and I'm young. I protest stores that label their shelves "Teen" and not "Young Adult" because I enjoy being twenty-seven and you don't have to be a teen to love vampires and the supernatural, or just the feeling of falling in love for the first time. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing in May 2011, minoring in English and American Literature. I am currently working on my MFA in Creative Writing. When I was a teenager I sacrificed grades just to avoid reading, but who'd have thought that it would one day become my passion? I am a single mom with an amazing eight year old that undoubtedly believes his mom will be the next great author. For now I read and review…and jot down the plot bunnies as they scurry out of the pages. |
