Introduction	I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. My mom taught me to crochet when I was young but I lost interest until 2009. In 2008 I decided to move back to Colorado from Idaho, which I lived for almost 12 years. Needless to say it was a huge adjustment because Denver Metro Area had changed a lot. It was the best decision I made because two days before Christmas of 2008, I was diagnosed with Lupus (SLE). The disease manifested in my lungs and heart, which was quite painful. Fortunately, I had my family and friends to help me. In February 2009, I had a Lupus flare in my left eye dispite being on high doses of steriods. My team of doctors at the VA Hospital are amazing. The next action was to have chemo once a month for 6 months. The infusions usually took 6-8 hours, so I asked my mom to teach me how to crochet to keep me busy during my treatments. Since then I love to crochet and have turned into a yarn-aholic. I like to read patterns but my real joy is designing and/or modifying projects. I enjoy other crafts, which you can see in my pictures.
