| Introduction | Carlene M. Gadapee teaches high school English in northern New Hampshire, and she is the community outreach coordinator for The Frost Place in Franconia, NH. Her poetry and book reviews have been published in a variety of journals, among them Touchstone, Smoky Quartz, Think, Allium, Vox Populi, and MicroLit Almanac. Carlene lives and works in northern NH. Her first chapbook, What to Keep (Finishing Line Press, 2025) will be joined by her second one, Relearning the Body in May, 2026. |

| Favorite books | Too many, but I'd highly recommend Russo's Empire Falls, The Gentleman from Moscow by Amor Towles, and The Sun Also Rises by Hemingway. Also, just about everything by Ken Follett and Sharon Kay Penman. And re-read The Secret Garden (Burnett) if you haven't in a while. |
