| Introduction | Age to 69, married to Louise for 41 years. The two of us have five grown children and 11 grandchildren. I am retired from the State of Colorado Dept. of Human Services, having enjoyed a total of 27 years in that field of work, having worked for several counties and the State. For the first year and a half we traveled, Louise,my dad Floyd, and I. With the eventual goal of writing about our various travels, we started in Colorado, went to San Diego, and up the coast eventually to Alaska to the east coast and the Florida Keys and many places inbetween. We traveled over 32K miles, experiencing many great and small places meeting many wonderful people along the way. After adventure traveling we landed in Prescott AZ altering our vagabond ways. For a time we lived together with two daughters, one son-in-law, four generations under one roof with an 86 year spred. I gave up on publishing a travelogue, but still enjoy writing. My dad, Floyd, passed away a few years ago, thus I need to change the title of my blog or start a new one! Maybe it should be TravelswithLouiseandKevin! |
| Interests | Travel, fly fishing, reading, writing, gardening, handy man work, biking, hiking, and last but not least, family, including 11 grandchildren ages 14 and younger! |
| Favorite music | Classic Christian hymns, older county, gospel, bluegrass, classic rock, Irish and eclectic renditions like Pink Floyd. My tastes vary widely, I even like Gregorian Chants. |
| Favorite books | Recent books, hands down favorite author, David McCullough and his books 1776, John Adams and Harry Truman and Mornings on Horseback about Teddy Roosevelt. I am presently finishing up his last book, The Pioneers, and I find it just as enjoyable. The Bible, God's Word to all of mankind. |
