| Introduction | I’m a writer, management consultant, and content strategist, who aims to be an agent of change for media organizations, education organizations, and nonprofits in general. (Twitter: @jbobermayer.) I once worked as a newspaper journalist, spent time as a freelance correspondent for NPR, then went on a tangent working on technology and education issues. I wish I’d had a blog like this to read when I was making those moves. I’ll offer practical advice, recognizing that there a lot of different ways to get from here to there. I’ll also be including anecdotes and pointing out stories that relate to shifts of perspective. One thing I’ve learned is that it’s important to create a basic structure when you’re thinking about change. So, here’s mine: We’ll see how much farther I can get with this blog through then end of 2012. |
